All Weather, Inc. Announces Automated Weather Observation System (AWOS)
Receives Qualification from Transport Canada
Sacramento, CA (March 31, 2004) All Weather, Inc., a leading
manufacturer of high accuracy, high dependability weather information systems
and meteorological sensors, today announced the qualification of its Automated
Weather Observation System (AWOS) by
Transport Canada. Transport
Canada is the government organization responsible for developing and administering
the policies, regulations, and programs that will provide a safe, efficient,
and environmentally friendly transportation system for Canadians. All Weather's
AWOS system provides fast, accurate, and
reliable meteorological data at airports around the world. Now the system,
which measures wind speed, wind direction, temperature, relative humidity,
and barometric pressure, has been qualified as meeting the performance criteria
established by Transport Canada.
"Airports serve as a key transportation medium in today's fast-paced
world," said Gary Wagner, CEO of All Weather, Inc. "Whether you're
a passenger, pilot, or flight instructor within the airport system, Transport
Canada takes safety and security seriously. AWI's AWOS
system monitors key environmental variables that allow airport personnel to
make solid, informed decisions. We are extremely pleased by the approval and
look forward to working throughout the Canadian transport system."
AWOS: Automated Weather Observation System
AWI's AWOS is based on state-of-the-art
sensor technology and a powerful, microprocessor-based computer system that
collects and processes vast amounts of environmental data. Whether the concerns
are wind speed, gusts, temperature, precipitation, present weather, or lightning,
the end result is a cost-effective system that provides the power and versatility
needed to stay on top of rapidly changing weather. The AWOS
is expandable, easy to install, and easy to maintain. All systems include
full Remote Maintenance Monitoring capabilities to ensure continuous monitoring.
