All Weather, Inc. Introduces AWOS Net; Aviation Weather Web Server is First
to Provide Fully Certified FAA Weather Data over Public Networks
Sacramento, CA (July 18, 2005) All Weather, Inc., a leading
manufacturer of high accuracy, high dependability weather information systems
and meteorological sensors, today announced AWOS
Net, the industry's first aviation weather web server to
provide fully integrated, remote displays of FAA certified weather data over
a vast array of network environments, including the Internet. AWOS
Net distributes data across an airport or around the world using
high reliability wired IP networks, wireless systems, or PSTN dial-up connections.
Unlike other display systems, all AWOS Net data elements are fully FAA certified,
including wind speed and direction, visibility, temperature/dew point, humidity,
cloud height, and pressure.
AWOS Net provides
aviation weather data in more formats than any other device on the market. It connects
directly to LANs, WANs, PSTN dial-up connections, RS-232 devices, printers,
and remote monitors. In addition, XML formatted output allows weather data
to be integrated into custom displays and reports. The encrypted data stream
ensures security. Remote printing and remote voice output provide easy access
to up-to-the-minute reports. Integrated StormFront software offers
versatile data collection, analysis, dissemination, and viewing capabilities.

"Designed to allow airports to leverage the power of the Internet, AWOS
Net is more than a traditional display device," said Gary
Wagner, President of All Weather, Inc. "AWOS
Net is an integrated system that delivers aviation weather data
around the world, quickly and securely. View current weather information over
a standard Internet connection or enhance airport web pages with real-time
weather data for faster flight planning. Wherever you need high reliability
aviation weather information, AWOS
Net delivers."
Leveraging the Power of the Network
AWOS Net acquires
data from All Weather, Inc.'s line of FAA-certified weather systems, including
AWOS 900 and ASOS. Data is acquired by the server
over wired RS-232 or RS-485 connection, wireless DSS spread spectrum modems,
UHF data modems, or traditional IP networks.
Weather information can then be viewed 24 x 7 by pilots and other interested
parties from anywhere in the world. AWOS
Net connects to remote monitors, computers, printers, and networks
via traditional wired networks, including 10Base-T and 100Base-T, and wireless
networking devices, such as 802.11(b) and 802.11(g). Data is disseminated
to single or multiple remote clients via any TCP/IP network. This allows flexible
data distribution within an airport, across a region, or around the world.
StormFront: Multi-Platform Display & Analysis Engine
AWOS Net is
driven by All Weather's StormFront software. StormFront provides real-time
data collection, dissemination, and display of weather data, as well as extensive
data and trend analysis capabilities. This allows in-depth views of instantaneous
and archived data.
Both powerful and versatile, StormFront allows easy creation of bar
graphs, line graphs, period group graphs, wind rose graphs, and trends. Calculations
can be made for minimum, maximum, average, total, frequency, frequency distribution,
and standard deviation for each data parameter stored in the database. Information
can be stored for later retrieval and for inclusion in trend graphs and tables.
Pricing & Availability
AWOS Net includes
server hardware, StormFront software, and a state-of-the-art screen
display. Choose either touch panel display or high resolution, flat panel
LCD display. AWOS Net
is available 120 days ARO. Prices for a complete server - including hardware,
software, and display - start at under US$2500.
