All Weather, Inc. Reaches Key Milestones Relating to Weather Systems in
the Gulf of Mexico
Sacramento, CA (October 19, 2009) — All Weather, Inc.
(AWI), a leading manufacturer of automated weather information systems and
meteorological sensors, announced today that significant milestones have been
reached in the Gulf of Mexico relating to its work with ITT Corporation to
supply 35 Automated Weather Observing Systems (AWOS).
AWI will provide the turn key installation of 35 FAA Certified AWOS systems to be
located on oil pumping platforms in the Gulf of Mexico. AWI’s effort includes
site surveys, engineering, production, and installation over the next year, as
well as maintenance of the systems for 15 years.
For the last year AWI has been actively performing site surveys and producing 35
AWOS systems for the Gulf region. These efforts have resulted in a total of 14
AWOS systems currently installed and providing surface weather reporting to the
region. The remaining 21 sites are scheduled for installation and commissioned
in the near future.
Jason Hall, President of AWI, was enthusiastic in his response to the progress in
the Gulf. “We are very happy with the progress in the Gulf to date and look
forward to a rapid deployment of the remaining sites. We are committed to
bringing accurate and current weather reporting to the aviation community
especially for the hundreds of daily helicopter operations in the Gulf region”.
