Navigating the Weather System Jungle
Three aviation weather system manufacturers, Bernard, Tom, and Markku, are
on a journey. Each manufacturer is leading one of their customers through
the Weather System Jungle in search of the lost city of Turnkey Solutions
Without Surprises. The ancient city is completely surrounded by a canal system,
which the six explorers discover rather suddenly when Bernard steps off a
small embankment and falls in.
As Bernard is being chased from the canal by several alligators, he spies
a small canoe hidden on the shoreline. On inspection by the group, it is discovered
that the canoe can carry at most two people.
A disagreement ensues. How are the six to cross? All of the customers insist
on accompanying the manufacturers into Turnkey Solutions Without Surprises,
to make sure they get a system that works "Without Surprises." All
of the manufacturers insist on entering as well, to make sure their customers
don't get lost.
The problem is that the customers can never be left on either canal bank
outnumbered by manufacturers, lest the manufacturers cannibalize the poor
outnumbered customers! How do the six people cross the canal in safety?
