AWI is the leading developer of aviation weather measurement systems and air traffic management solutions.
The All Weather, Inc. Model 3016 uses the temperature compensated detector technology. It is particularly suitable for meteorological networks and the reduced response time of 1.66 seconds (63%) meets the requirements for solar energy applications.
A waterproof socket is fitted for the signature yellow signal cable making the Model 3016 resistant to weather. The signal cable is available in a range of lengths, pre-wired to the waterproof plug.
The integral bubble level is raised to the top of the housing and can be viewed without removing the redesigned snap-on sun shield, which also covers the connector. The connector with gold-plated contacts allows for easy exchange and recalibration. The screw-in drying cartridge is easy to remove and the replacement desiccant is supplied in convenient refill packets.
The Model 3016 Pyranometer does not require any power. It supplies a low voltage of 0-20 mV in relation to the amount of incoming radiation. When a higher voltage level or a 4-20 mA signal is required, the AMPBOX is the perfect solution.

The Model 3022 is a First Class Pyranometer - the second of three classes according to both WHO and IPSO 9060 classifications. The Model 3022's excellent directional response, spectral sensitivity, and temperature dependence assure that you receive accurate and reliable measurements under normal environmental conditions. The Model 3022 is ideal for routine solar radiation measurements on a level surface.
Like the Model 3016, the 3022 is built inside a rugged, weather-proof anodized aluminum case, and uses a sensing element that incorporates a thermopile element. This sensing element is coated with a highly stable carbon based non-organic coating, which delivers excellent spectral absorption.
Designed for function and ease of use, the Model 3022 Pyranometer features an integral bubble that can be viewed without removing the snap-on sun shield, and a connector with gold-plated contacts that allows for easy exchange and calibration. The Model 3022 is also equipped with a screw-in drying cartridge making it quick and easy to replace the desiccant.

Rugged and weatherproof, the Model 3120 Silicon Cell Pyranometer measures global solar radiation. When used with the Model 3079 shadow ring, it will measure diffused radiation. This pyranometer is low cost, lightweight, and easy to install. The sensor is a silicon photovoltaic cell which absorbs radiation from 0.35 to 1.15 microns. The silicon cell converts this light energy directly into electrical energy, and the output voltage is essentially linear with light intensity. Full-scale response time is less than 1 millisecond due to the fact that the instrument is light sensitive, not heat sensitive as the thermopile pyranometers are. If the output is integrated over a daily period, the accuracy of the value is within 3%. Accuracy of instantaneous values is within 5%. Temperature compensation is provided from 4° to 60°C.
A pyrex glass dome protects the silicon cell from wind and moisture. A desiccant is included to prevent moisture condensation on the inside of the glass.
